Legal Aid Foundation
Mission: The Legal Aid Foundation provides free legal assistance to residents of Leon County, with a civil case, who cannot afford an attorney.
The Legal Aid Foundation is a private, non-profit organization that utilizes volunteer attorneys, both private and governmental. The majority of the attorneys who serve through Legal Aid are members of the Tallahassee Bar Association (TBA). All of the voluntary attorneys are members of the Florida Bar.
One of the TBA membership requirements is a contribution to one of the board-approved service agencies of your choice that provides pro bono legal services to our community. This TBA requirement also provides an avenue for you to meet the Supreme Court Aspirational Goal of providing pro bono services. The Legal Aid Foundation is the administrator of the TBA Pro Bono Services Program. (See the Approved Agencies link on the LAF page of this website for a complete listing of pro bono alternatives.
The Legal Aid office is open from 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and 9 am – 2 pm on Friday.
