No, we do not. If you are charged with a criminal offense and cannot afford an attorney you should request a public defender when you first appear before a judge.

Generally, we do not handle child support enforcement cases. Contact the Department of Revenue for child support enforcement at 800.622.5437

No. Due to the constraints of law, and as we have a process by which you must qualify financially for our services, the Legal Aid Foundation is unable to give phone consultations.

There is no fee for the legal assistance you receive through the Legal Aid Foundation, however should there be any filing fees associated with your particular case, you may be responsible for such fees.

Yes. You may certainly contact our office and we will do our best to refer you to another agency, or entity that can assist you.

The Legal Aid Foundation is a private non-profit organization funded by the Florida Bar Foundation, Leon County Board of County Commissioners, United Way of the Big Bend, City of Tallahassee and private contributions. All contributions are tax deductible. A copy of the official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free 1.800.435.7352 within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval or recommendation of the State.
