about us

The Tallahassee Bar Association has been recognized by the American Bar Association and The Florida Supreme Court as a leading organization of volunteer spirit and service. Our members conduct community legal education activities during Law Week, hold a Celebrity Waiters fund-raiser for Legal Aid, and participate as coaches and judges for local High School Mock Trial Competitions and for the Florida State University Law School Moot Court and Trial Practice Teams. The Young Lawyers’ Section holds an annual Christmas in July party for local foster children, complete with Santa and presents.

The judges, lawyers, law students, and professors enjoy a monthly business meeting and host an annual reception for The Florida Bar Board of Governors. Members are always looking for ways to give back to the community that supports them.

The members of the Tallahassee Bar Association have joined together to enhance the legal profession, promote fellowship among their colleagues, and serve the community. They have agreed to provide pro bono legal service through the TBA Pro Bono Alternatives Program. Together, they have donated thousands of hours and thousands of dollars for the legal representation of the poor and disadvantaged. They have taken an oath to uphold the law and practice it with professionalism and integrity.
